Osa Seven x kids of the diaspora

Unshaken

📍Arndtstraße 42, 1120 Wien

Inspired by a powerful poem by Kids of Diaspora on representation and resistance,"Unshaken" deconstructs the concept of what it means to be a "minority." The work centers two Black women-steadfast, expressive, and unflinching-anchored by hands beneath them, lifting, holding, carrying. These hands symbolize both burden and support: the inherited weight of history and the collective effort to rise above it.

Through bold colors and layered texture, Osa Seven reclaims the idea of identity not as something marginal, but central, and undeniable. The piece challenges the viewer to confront the social frameworks that define people by absence-minority-and instead invites us to see the fullness, presence, and power of those long considered peripheral.

It is a visual stand for voice, for truth, and for those who hold space in systems not built for them-yet remain unshaken.

What’s in a minority?
A status, group, nationality?
A state of mind inherited
A number counting one, two, three
not adding up the arithmetic

And that is why we must repeat:
Whats is in a minority?
A complex of inferiority
Creating all that mystery
A hold on to categories
Preventing all that synergy
Complexion, labels, gender, age

Now tell me what’s your privilege?
Whatever you are so lucky to be
Results in your responsibility
Now take this moment and breathe with me
There is no such thing as a minority.

Poem by CHERRIE O.

A graduate of visual communications from the University of Lagos, with a strong background in brand communications, Osa possesses an exceptional ability to transform concepts into compelling visual narratives. Whether through large-scale murals or digital media, he masterfully bridges the gap between art, culture, and impactful storytelling.

Osa is deeply committed to creating art in public spaces, using creativity as a medium to inspire tourism, foster community engagement, and drive social impact. As the founder of Inscribe Art, a leading public art company based in Lagos, Nigeria, he spearheads projects that transform urban spaces into vibrant, culturally resonant landmarks. Inscribe Art specializes in large-scale public art installations, mural design, and creative placemaking that encourages community connection and dialogue.

He is also a co-founder of the Lagos street art festival, Nigeria's first and only street art festival. The festival serves as a platform to celebrate urban art, nurture young talent, and tell powerful stories that reflect Lagos' rich heritage and diversity.

We are a small fair lifestyle label with a big impact. Kids of the Diaspora started with a T-shirt and emerged from the desire to create visibility for people who long for belonging. As children of a multicultural family, the sisters and founders of the label follow the voice of their hearts.

Designer Leni Charles and musician Cherrie O. create system-relevant artworks, poetry, fashion in a diversity context, thus creating awareness in a cool way. So that not only marginalized groups, but also the majority society benefit from it. Our motto is `Deconstruct The Concept of Minority,‘ our philosophy `We are one.‘
Based on this, we create space for wonderful collaborations of all kinds, which go hand in hand with sustainability, responsibility towards our environment and future generations, as well as diversity and our spirit.
