Build! Any actual state can feel like an eternity, even though everything in us and our society is in a constant state of change. Transformation is omnipresent, whether we consider it good or not. In the process, we are always leaving something behind and reshaping the future. Without valuing today‘s transformation from an artistic point of view, we can nevertheless define desirable framework conditions: For APHENOAH, actively shaping transformation means jointly designing an idea (an image), which can then become real. In their design for the facade in Ottakring, a group of young people can be observed playing a game of Jenga.
The game of skill, consisting of sixty small blocks, grows up move by move. The status quo never lasts long. When the players play against each other, the tower falls quickly, but the participation of the pieces already indicates that all involved are working together. The triangular composition of the scene alone seems to lend stability to the fragile tower. The message: transformation succeeds best together.

Many In One. For the 10th edition of the Festival, Daniel presented a thought-provoking proposal that aligned with the theme of 'Transformation.' His project took root in a collage where he skillfully blended diverse references, creating a metamorphosis within the image using different elements. This transformation served as a metaphor for the neighborhood's cultural diversity, dynamic spirit, and artistic expression, mirroring the multifaceted nature of Brazil itself. Through this artistic journey, he united a range of influences, spanning from comics and pop art to typography, weaving a tapestry of cultural fusion and dialogue.

Regard. Frau Isa portrayed a strong and sophisticated female character. She surrounded this central figure with memorabilia spanning the past ten years, symbolizing the ever-changing nature of life. Yet, amidst that constant flux, certain aspects of the character's existence remained unaltered—the enduring love for nature, home, and stability, and the pursuit of life's balance. Frau Isa's artwork served as a calming presence in the bustling city, with its subtle colors that evoked serenity and comfort, offering solace in those turbulent times.

Frau Isa, a Viennese illustrator and artist, brings the dreamy, pastel city of Vienna to life with her vintage-inspired, nostalgia-infused creations. Her designs grace the pages of magazines, adorn gallery walls, and even embellish the facades of skyscrapers.

Distraction features a woman inside a house holding both a mobile phone and a book. Despite being surrounded by two potentially distracting objects, she appears detached from them. Her expression is natural and troubled, symbolizing the challenges faced by modern women in their daily lives. Through a dynamic blend of vibrant, fluorescent colors, bold lines, and intricate shapes, the mural elevates this everyday female figure into a monumental protagonist. This transformation reshapes the subject's perspective within the contemporary world. The intimate scene is magnified, granting it greater significance and sharing it with a broader community. Spectators become co-stars and are encouraged to participate, fostering empathy. This artwork captures a moment of modern daily life, seamlessly integrating it into the urban landscape and contributing to its beautification.

LOVE. "Evoke Love as the Transforming Force" - these simple yet powerful words remind us of the immense power that love holds in transforming ourselves and the world around us. When we embrace love as the driving force behind our actions and interactions, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and opportunities for growth and positive change. Love has the power to heal, unite, and inspire us to be our best selves. Let us all strive to evoke love in our daily lives, and witness its transformative magic unfold.

Ottakring Edelweiß. This proposal is a reinterpretation of the Edelweiss, Austria's national flowers. The flowers that appear in the proposal are located in the Ottakring neighborhood, famous for its diversity and multiculturalism. It is for this reason that the white flower has been transformed and has flourished full of patterns and spots that cover the entire gray scale and refer us to that mixture of cultures, tones and aromas from many parts of the world that come together in the neighborhood.

Nice is cool. In our daily lives, we are inundated with an overwhelming amount of information, much of it negative. Coping with all these emotions would be incredibly time-consuming, so we often find ourselves numbing our feelings as a way to cope. Many of us are encouraged to toughen up, become less sensitive, and develop thicker skins. The mural essentially revolves around transforming our relationship with our emotions and apathy in an optimistic way, which, in turn, alters how we engage with our surroundings in all their forms. While it may initially appear soothing, it also serves as a call to action: to remain gentle, to feel outrage when necessary, to forge alliances, to organize, to connect, and not to do those in power the favor of ceasing to care. However, it's equally important for us to look out for one another, to refrain from premature judgments, and to make an effort to understand different perspectives. Being nice is, indeed, cool.

Entropy. The concept develops the idea of a site-specific artwork. It revolves around the transformation of our planet through the centuries, offering a personal interpretation and integrating the intervention into my artistic research, utilizing my strongly recognizable style. It explores what we have left behind and contemplates our future. Everything around us is constantly evolving, and so are we. It's a continuous, circular movement that shapes things in time and space.
