vision to wall:
Youtopian Meidling
Calle Libre festival 2025 proudly takes place in Meidling. With the theme, "Youtopia", we bring local and international artists to Meidling’s streets to paint impressive murals. But while international artists paint their visions onto Vienna’s walls, this project ensures local voices—especially from FLINTA* individuals—don’t get left out.
Through this project, we want to invite the public, particularly FLINTA* community, to co-envision and express their personal ideals of a better future. Same as Calle libre 2025 festival, this project will be taking place in Meidling, however will extend beyond the timeline of the festival. With this project, we want to give FLINTA* community space to express their visions and manifest them with a mural in Meidling.
FLINTA* dreams, experiences, and demands belong in the public space, and their realisations are just as much needed for a real utopia!

flinta*
FLINTA* community includes women/females, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people and cuts across all ages and ethnicities. The asterisk serves as a placeholder for all people who do not identify with any of the letters but are nevertheless marginalized due to their gender identity. The abbreviation often refers to the invitation policy of certain spaces, which are thereby portrayed as inclusive and open to people with different gender identities.
