Postcards for Sarah – “Dialogues with a World on Fire”
Calle Libre is proud to have contributed to “Dialogues with a World on Fire,” a group exhibition and online postcard art auction organized by Raw Gallery London and Karma Bank. The exhibition brings together emerging and established contemporary artists from around the world, united by a common purpose — to use art as a means of empathy, awareness, and support for child victims of war.
The initiative focuses on raising funds and visibility for child amputees, among them 10-year-old Sarah, who lost both her arms and her father in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. Despite unimaginable loss, Sarah’s message is simple yet powerful:
“I wish I had prosthetic arms and could live normally like the rest of the children.” – Sarah
Funds raised from the auction will be shared between the David Nott Foundation, which trains medics to operate in conflict zones, and Karma Bank, supporting victims of war who have reached the UK.
For this cause, Calle Libre donated prints by Stinkfish & Paola Delfín, whose work often explores themes of resilience, humanity, and strength.
