prints: Kartel “no title” 2022
Kartel was invited to take part at the Calle Libre Festival 2022. In cooperation with LEAP and Kartel, we produced a risograph print. The artist created all the layers for the print design on the spot at the print studio.
Kartel's works always move thematically between nostalgia and the present. inspired by everyday life and the elementary artifacts of our society. In the process, familiar design boundaries between tradition, craftsmanship and digital design are broken and transformed into a new context.
His high-contrast, semi-abstract compositions are reminiscent of remnants of a bygone era. Kartel lives and works in Berlin.
