Apus Urbana. The common swift, a swallow-like migratory bird that - as the name already suggests - consciously nests in man-made structures, also moves in precisely this opposite of nature and the urban.

Once it has chosen a place to nest, it returns there year after year. The house in the Burggasse, which I paint, is also such a nesting place. My mural is dedicated to these flying inhabitants. It depicts three swifts in the process of landing. A significant moment as it rarely occurs away from this location - swifts spend most of their lives in the air. The somewhat sombre backdrop of the city is inspired by film noir and the industrial revolution, symbolizing the human element. It is repulsive, dangerous and uninviting for animals. And yet species like the swift are found in such environments. There is a kind of misappropriation going on. This leads to an unlikely coexistence that works for the migratory birds, even if it was not foreseen by humans. A fascinating symbiosis between humans and animals. Despite the involuntary element mentioned, this could function as a symbol for future-oriented thinking - in a perfect, utopian future, architecture, art and other aspects could be consciously worked towards such a coexistence. Therefore, with the help of District Councilor Max Hoffman and the MA22, more than 20 nesting boxes for swifts are built into my picture in order to create even more nesting places - because many of these are threatened in Vienna by roof extensions. The protection of the natural habitat for swifts is combined with urban art in a unique way to set an example for the future.

David Leitner's oeuvre traverses the realms of both digital and analog, spanning from canvases to building facades, and is inspired by the diversity and cultural richness of our world, as well as social injustices and predicaments. Notably, he devoted his own exhibition titled "100% Trash" to the subject matter of consumerist frenzy and global pollution. Through the use of repetition, displacement or omission of reference material, Leitner's creations often produce surreal and illogical constructs that encourage the beholder to discover their own interpretation of what they see.

Leitner employs a technique that oscillates between delicate and bold brushstrokes, imbuing his works with a dynamic yet subdued style. His signature use of black and white contrasts serves to accentuate the shapes and figures within his pieces. Leitner's artistic footprint extends globally, with his works showcased in galleries and on walls in Europe, Asia, and America. A native of Graz, Leitner is a visual artist who currently calls Vienna home.

Cadmiae Promethium & Rododendron Japonicum. For this artwork Fabio decided to use the Rododendron Japonicun in Italian called Azalea and the Cadmiae Promethium that is translate in Promethium Oxyde.

Azalea represents the most important female figure for every human being, namely, her mother. From this point of view, the azaleas therefore symbolize the purest love that exists. In addition to this symbolism, there are two other terms closely related to the figure of the woman-mother: femininity and temperance. The mother, therefore, is universally considered to be the bearer of both these virtues. Temperance is the dowry that is handed down by each mother to her children to help them live serenely through the trials that life will present to them in the future. Just as the Azalea also Cadmiae Promethium has a meaning of love and interest in the future of humanity, linked to the Prometheus story. Feeling sorry for man’s weak and naked state, Prometheus raided the workshop of Hephaistos and Athena on Mount Olympus and stole fire; by hiding it in a hollow fennel-stalk, he gave the valuable gift to man, which would help him in life’s struggle. The Titan also taught man how to use their gift, and so the skill of metalwork began; he also came to be associated with science and culture.

Operator. “I'm a big proponent of people formulating their own interpretations of art as much as being able to initiate positive change in all aspects of their lives. If there's any message for the future for me to convey, it's: be excellent to each other. If it takes a huge sheep with an attached tap to convince anyone, then so be it. Also, tennis balls.” - NDZW
