The sixth edition of the Calle Libre - Festival for Urban Aesthetics addressed the theme of Duality - complementary or even irreconcilable opposites. The duality of all things. Is everything in our worldview to be based on two original principles? Positive and negative, true and false, light and dark, material and immaterial?

Through an artistic approach, we explore the principle of duality and ask: isn’t the “world” as we know it, a complex overall structure including multiple perspectives, not just black and white ones? Everyone divides their world into differing states - he or she judges whether something is positive or negative. Reality is hence a creation of our intuition.

Opening

as Part of the Take Over Exhibition Project of the Wien Museum

As part of "Take Over", the Wien Museum was all about street art & skateboarding.
That was reason enough to join forces with the Wien Museum for the sixth anniversary of the Calle Libre Festival and pitch our tents at Karlsplatz during the festival.

The Wien Museum was not only be the venue for the opening/book presentation and panel discussion, but also the starting point for guided tours, workshops and Instagram walks.

Cozy Couch Talks

”Art on Wall vs. Art on Canvas”

In addition to the festival opening, visitors had the opportunity to exchange ideas directly with the artists in the course of the artist talk

The publication “CINCO – five years of urban art in Vienna” was presented at the festive opening of the festival.
